The Baltimore Orioles have been terrible both on the road and against AL East
opponents so far this season, which doesn't bode well for them as they open an
MLB betting
series in Toronto against the Blue Jays on Tuesday night. How bad have the Orioles been this year in what was supposed to be a season
that saw them show some improvement in the standings? Not only are they farther
back of first place than any other team in the league right now, but their World Series
odds have dropped to a whopping 400/1 at the Bodog Sportsbook.
Baltimore sends Jake Arrieta (9-7, 5.02 ERA) to the mound at
Rogers Centre on Tuesday night, and he's managed to give up three or more runs
in each of his past six trips to the mound. The O's went 1-5 in those six
contests.
Righthander Arrieta took the hill in Toronto back on June 15 and was tagged
with a loss after allowing three runs on nine hits over his 6 2-3 innings of
work.
The Blue Jays will counter with Brandon Morrow (7-4, 4.34
ERA) on Tuesday night, and he's been a great option on the baseball
betting lines over the past two months; Toronto is 7-0 in the righthander's
last seven starts.
Against the Mariners in his most recent start Morrow earned the victory after
surrendering three runs on seven hits over seven innings of work.
The Blue Jays, though, haven't been as lucky in outings by their other
starters, which is why they're mired in fourth place in the AL East and well
back at 150/1 on the World Series
odds at Bodog Sportsbook. That's not Orioles territory, but it's nowhere
near where the Red Sox and Yankees live either. Get all your MLB odds at
Bodog.
