Having fallen into second place in the AL East standings before the All-Star
Break, the New York Yankees will be looking to get back on top this weekend as
they take on the Blue Jays in Toronto in an MLB betting
series. The Yankees trail the Boston Red Sox by one game in the division standings, thanks to their rival's six-game winning streak to close out the first half of the season. That's made Boston the -200 division favorite at Bodog right now, with the Yankees behind them at +160 to win the AL East title this season. Bartolo Colon (6-4, 3.20 ERA) starts this series for New
York on Thursday, and he didn't exactly head into the break in style. The
righthander was beaten up by the Tampa Bay Rays in his last outing, allowing
five runs on 10 hits over 5 2-3 innings. That put a quick end to Colon's personal four-game winning streak, and
dropped the Yankees to 6-4 in his last 10 trips to the mound. Colon was also
tagged with a loss in his last start against the Blue Jays on May 23, giving up
six runs over his six innings. Toronto is slated to send Jo-Jo Reyes (4-7, 4.57 ERA) to the
mound on Thursday, and he's coming off a win over the Indians in which he
allowed three runs (none earned) on eight hits over 5 2-3 innings of work. After looking like he'd be out of the league early in the season, the
lefthander has bounced back lately with the team winning five of his past 10
outings. Against the Yankees on May 25 Reyes lasted just three innings, giving
up five runs on five hits. Check out Bodog's baseball
