Even though Europeans dominate the Top 10 of the current world rankings, whenever Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson are entered in the same tournament, all eyes are usually on them. And naturally you get bet on how Tiger and Lefty fare head-to-head on one of many Bodog golf props for this weekend’s Players Championship, the unofficial fifth major in golf. Currently Woods is at -105 with Mickelson at -125.

Previously, Tiger would have never been an underdog going head-to-head against anyone. But this isn’t the normal Tiger. He still hasn’t won since November 2009 and he enters this tournament off minor injuries to his left knee and Achilles’ tendon suffered at the Masters. Woods hasn’t played since Augusta and reportedly was in a walking boot for weeks after. He just recently picked up a club again after having to withdraw from last week’s event in Charlotte. Tiger hasn't finished better than eighth in this tournament since winning 10 years ago – he withdrew in the final round last year with an injury.

Mickelson did play last week, finishing with a T9 at the Wells Fargo Championship. And Mickelson can become No. 1 in the world this week if he wins. Since winning in 2007 with back-to-back 69s on the weekend, Mickelson has broken 70 just once in his last 12 rounds at the Stadium Course and hasn’t had a Top 10. The past five times Mickelson and Tiger played this tournament in the same year, Lefty has had the better result four of them. These two have played in five tournaments together this year and each has finished better than the other twice with one result where they tied.
