Probably the most anticipated game of the NFL’s divisional round weekend is
the final one of the four when the suddenly surging New York Giants appear very
capable of ending the Green Bay Packers’ dreams of repeating as Super Bowl
champions. However, the Pack are 9-point favorites on Bovada’s NFL playoffs
lines with live play-by-play betting available.

New York (10-7) has won three
in a row and four of five and the Giants totally dominated the Atlanta Falcons
last week in a 24-2 victory. Eli Manning continued the best
season of his career by throwing for 277 yards, three scores and no
picks.
But what really makes the Giants dangerous is that the running
game has come around – the G-Men rushed for a season-high 172 yards on 5.5 yards
per carry against Atlanta. New York finished the regular season ranked last in
the NFL in rush yards per game at a miserable 89.2 yards per game. The Giants
averaged 82.3 yards per game and 3.18 yards per carry in their first 11 games of
this season. But over the last six games, starting with the Dec. 4 home loss to
these Packers, the Giants have averaged 115.7 yards per game and 4.42 yards per
carry compared to 82.3 and 3.18 in the first 11 games.
The Giants' last
postseason trip to Lambeau Field was a 23-20 overtime victory for the NFC
championship in the 2007 season two weeks before they upset the then-unbeaten
Patriots in the Super Bowl. That’s the last time Green Bay hosted a playoff game
and was also the final game for Brett Favre in a Packer
uniform. New York did visit Lambeau near the end of the 2010 regular season and
was blown out 45-17.
The Packers (15-1) are the NFC’s top seed and were
on a bye last week. They won at the Giants back in Week 13, 38-35 on a 31-yard
Mason Crosby field goal as time expired. New York had tied it
with 58 seconds left on a Manning 2-yard touchdown pass and 2-point conversion.
But Packers QB Aaron Rodgers completed passes of 24, 27 and 18
yards in a quick five-play drive to set up the winning kick. Rodgers threw for
369 yards and four scores on the day, while Manning passed for 347 and three
TDs. The Giants rolled up 447 total yards despite holding the ball for only 26
minutes, 47 seconds.
Including playoffs, the Packers have won 21 of
their last 22 games. For the first time since 1996, Green Bay is the No. 1 seed
in the NFC playoffs. Green Bay is 3-0 all-time in the divisional round coming
off a first-round bye. The Giants are 6-0 ATS in past six road playoff games.
Green Bay was 7-1 ATS at home this year.
