If you are looking for the most offensively exciting game in college football
in Week 2 of the season, then you need to tune into ESPN on Thursday night when Arizona
visits No. 9 Oklahoma State. The Cowboys opened as 14.5-point favorites on Bodog’s NCAA football odds with the total north of 64. Oklahoma State was among the nation’s top offenses last year and didn’t look any different in Saturday’s opening 61-34 victory over Louisiana-Lafayette despite losing offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen to West Virginia this offseason. The best quarterback-receiver tandem in the nation is arguably OSU’s Brandon Weeden and Justin Blackmon and they were at it again on Saturday. Weeden threw for 388 yards and three TDs (also three picks), while Blackmon
had his 13th straight 100-yard game with eight catches for 144 yards. His consecutive games streak of TD catches ended at 12, however. The Cowboys put up 666 yards of total offense, the ninth-best total in school history. Arizona, meanwhile, beat Northern Arizona 41-10. The Wildcats have a QB/WR
combination about as good as OSU’s. Cats QB Nick Foles threw
for 412 yards – the most in the nation in Week 1 – and five touchdowns on
Saturday, while Juron Criner had six catches for 151 yards and
a score. If there was one concern it was that Arizona led just 14-10 at the
half. Arizona's defense then turned dominant in the second half. Oklahoma State and Arizona, likely soon to be Pac-12 rivals, played in the Alamo Bowl
to close last season. The Pokes won 36-10 as Arizona ended the year on a
five-game losing streak. Weeden threw for 240 yards and two TDs and Blackmon had
nine catches for 117 yards and two scores. Foles threw for 280 and a score but
also three picks. The Wildcats had their chances early. But six possessions
inside Oklahoma State territory in the first half resulted in just one
touchdown. They also had four total turnovers to none for OSU. Get the best NCAA odds and props all season at the Web’s gaming
