The conclusion to Week 10 in the NFL seems like a major mismatch as unbeaten Green Bay hosts Minnesota on “Monday Night Football,” but there also have been a few head scratching upsets in the league this weekend (Ravens, Eagles) so perhaps Minnesota can pull of the improbable upset. The Vikes are 14-point road underdogs on Bodog’s NFL football odds with live betting available.

The Packers (8-0) have won 14 straight games dating to Week 16 last season when Aaron Rodgers returned from a concussion and threw for more than 400 yards and four touchdowns in a must win against the Giants. Rodgers is a lock for NFL MVP this season with a rating of 129.1 – that’s eight points about Peyton Manning’s season record. Last week in a win over San Diego he completed 21-for-26 for 247 yards, four TDs and no picks. He is on pace to also set completion percentage and passing yardage NFL records.

Rodgers was 24-of-30 passing with three touchdowns and the Packers rallied from a seven-point deficit to beat the Vikings 33-27 in Vikings QB Christian Ponder's first NFL start on Oct. 23 at the Metrodome. Ponder then led Minnesota (2-6), which was on a bye last week, to a victory over Carolina in his second start, going 18-for-28 for 236 yards with a TD and no picks. Adrian Peterson really has exploded since Ponder replaced Donovan McNabb. Peterson had 175 yards and a TD on 24 carries when these teams met three weeks ago at the Metrodome. At Carolina, he had 159 yards in total offense and two touchdowns.

The key injury note here is that Minnesota gets back top cornerback Antoine Winfield after he missed the past four games with an injury. And Vikings center John Sullivan (concussion), who probably is the Vikings’ best offensive lineman, didn’t play against the Packers in the last meeting but is back.

Certainly any chance Minnesota has would be to somehow force turnovers. The Vikings sacked Rodgers four times in their previous meeting with Green Bay and forced the Packers into three straight three-and-outs in the second half because of the pressure. Yet Green Bay still managed 33 points.

The Vikings are 0-4 ATS in their past four MNF games. Green Bay has covered 12 of its past 15 home games.
