The Tulsa Golden Hurricane are listed as a slight 1-point favorite against
the Brigham Young Cougars in college football betting action on Friday afternoon as the
Armed Forces Bowl hits the field at Gerald J. Ford Stadium in Dallas,

The Golden
Hurricane (8-4 SU, 7-5 ATS) put together an impressive seven-game winning streak
before losing their final regular-season game 48-16 to the Conference-USA rival
Houston Cougars - who were ranked No. 8 in the nation at the time.
In
fact, all four Tulsa losses this season came at the hands of nationally-ranked
programs, as they were beaten by Oklahoma (then-ranked No. 1), Oklahoma State
(then-ranked No. 8) and Boise State (then-ranked No. 4).
Tulsa finished
23rd in the FBS in scoring (34.1 points per game) while ranking 24th in rushing
(204.6 yards per game) and 41st in passing (249.8 yards per game). The Golden
Hurricane defense was rated 67th overall in points allowed (27.6 points per
game).
Brigham Young (9-3 SU, 8-4 ATS) won eight of their last nine
games to finish with the best record among the four Independent teams, losing
only to the TCU Horned Frogs by a 38-28 score back on October 28 during that
stretch.
The Cougars ranked 41st in scoring (30.6 points per game) and
wound up 23rd overall with a stingy defense that permitted opponents to score an
average of just over 20 points per game.
The UNDER is 9-4 in Tulsa’s
past 13 non-conference games, and the Golden Hurricane went 4-8 O/U against the
number this season. BYU was 6-6 O/U, and the UNDER is 7-1 in the Cougars’ past
eight games against opponents with a winning record.
