Well it happens to everyone of us. However last Saturday night within an hour it happened twice. Pardon me make that 3 times! Let's start with the Stanford and
UCLA game. Stanford was a 3, 3.5 point favorite and UCLA was giving the Cardinal all they could handle. With less than minutes to play Stanford scores to take a 16-13 lead. On the last play UCLA QB Josh Rosen dropped back to threw a hail mary, and he was sacked and fumbled the football. Cardinal Soloman Thomas grabbed the ball and ran 42 yards untouched scoring a TD with no time on the clock 0:00. UCLA backers go from a push or win to a 22-13 loss. What are the odds huh? Less than an hour later from Tucson the roller coster game of the day was taking place. Ariz. St. was a 3.5 favorite with a total of 85. Cal outplayed Ariz. St. until the 4th quarter. With 6:21 to play AST tied the score at 34-34. With 3:17 to play the Sun Devils kick the go ahead FG to lead 37-34. Cal gets the ball back then QB Davis Web throws an pick six to Viliami Moeakiola. AST now leads 44-34. With 54 seconds to play Cal QB Davis Webb finds Demetris Robertson for a 26 yard touchdown cutting the score to 44-41. Cal then tries the on side kick and BAM, you know what happens-- DJ Calhoun returns the on side kick 42 yards and AST wins it 51-41. Cal plus 3.5......GONE! Under 85......GONE! Cal plus the points, the Under 85, are just like 'Keyser Sose', trying to convince the world they were the right side and, 'Poof' they are GONE! A very hard way to go 0-3. Personally I had Stanford, so I realized this time how fortunate I was!
