We are currently documented 65% for the entire College Basketball season and documented 5-0 100% so far in March Madness. Hopefully you all saw our last article for College Basketball on how to use power ratings and actually how to use the USA Today and the AP rankings. Let’s take a look at my own Top 25 rankings as of right now. 1. Kansas 102.81 2. North Carolina 97.1 3. Memphis 96.71 4. Tennessee 94.14 5. Louisville 93.79 6. Davidson 93.26 7. UCLA 92.84 8. Wisconsin 92.78 9. Drake 91.72 10. Duke 91.52 11. Connecticut 90.56 12. Georgetown 90.07 13. Washington State 89.88 14. Xavier 89.85 15. Texas 88.77 16. Michigan State 88.73 17. Arizona 88.29 18. Marquette 88.11 19. Gonzaga 87.85 20. Syracuse 87.84 21. Oklahoma 87.8 22. Purdue 87.76 23. Clemson 87.74 24. Notre Dame 87.71 25. Stanford 87.48 Let’s take a look at the major differences in my rankings and the USA today and AP. Keep in mind that if you see a team favored over one of the above teams you may want to consider a play on it. Also, same goes for AP and the USA Today rankings. If you have an unranked favorite playing a ranked opponent take a deeper look into the game. The public will be on the ranked opponent getting points and of course we want to fade the public as much as possible. First thing I see is that I don’t have Butler, Indiana and Vanderbilt listed in my Top 25 but they are securely ranked in both the AP and USA Today rankings. This tells me that if I see one of these teams favored over one of my Top 25 teams then I’m going to look hard at playing them. Keep this tool in your handicapping arsenal and win big this March Madness. Our power ratings do change every single day though so you’ll need to update your own accordingly.
