NBA Betting Angle that Pays Cash

I, like many of you, comb the Internet for respected bloggers and sports sites and etc for any information pertaining to numbers and stats that can give me an edge against the Las Vegas line for Hoops handicapping. Here is one I found at Covers, some numbers from teams at home after road trips of 3 or more games and I have pasted in the stat table below.

The NBA is hard for many to handicap, however I have found over 24 years of capping, one of the best angles to use in the NBA, where everyone is a baller on every team and anyone can beat anyone else on any given night, that scheduling spots is a HUGE Factor in pointspread winners. There are numerous angles to consider when capping Pro Hoops, and this is not the only angle I use, but have used it in the past and will in the future. Teams back at home after a roadie of 3 or trips.

Here’s a breakdown of how NBA teams have performed both SU and ATS in their first home game following a road trip of three or more matchups:

First home game after 3-game road trip: 31-19 SU (.620), 29-20-1 ATS (.592) First home game after 4-game road trip: 15-9 SU (.625), 14-10 ATS (.583) First home game after 5-game road trip: 10-4 SU (.714), 9-5 SU (.643) First home game after 6-game road trip: 4-2 SU (.666), 3-3 ATS (.500) First home game after 7-game road trip: 1-1 SU (.500), 1-1 ATS (.500) First home game after 8-game road trip: 1-0 SU (1.000), 1-0 ATS (1.000)

When you get into teams that are on a 4th or 5th game on a road trip, especially East to West or West to East cross country trips, even the good teams fade in the last game or two and when laying a big number on the road in their 4th game in 7 days on a extended road trip, you want to look for reasons to fade that team, and surely do not lay a big number.

HERE IS A FAKE SCENARIO BUT ONE YOU CAN RELATE TO IN MANY INSTANCES: Say a team like San Antonio is on their 4th game of a road trip in 7 days laying near double digits to the Nets for instance, BUT they have Cleveland on deck on a national TV game on Thursday on TNT. An Anticipated matchup and one they would want to dial it in for. They will be looking ahead and be a little road weary and I doubt their efforts in the Nets game will be that of the Cavs game. If you catch a good team in this spot, it is hard to lay 8 points or more in the NBA.

Knowing scheduling spots and who is on deck for certain teams the next game or day is very useful in y9our handicapping and should be used on a daily basis.
