Baseball at the 1/2 mark in the AL!

The Texas Rangers are playing the best baseball with a record of 51-28. The Rangers have struck gold so far with FA Center fielder Ian Desmond who is hitting .322 with 14 HR's and 51 RBI. Rookie of the year candidate Nomar Mazara is hitting .287 with 11 HR's and 35 RBI. Both players are playing superb defense! Cole Hamels is the Ace of the Rangers going 9-1 with a 2.60 ERA! One factor that could be the Rangers achilles heal is their injuries to 3 of their starting staff. Currently they have a 10 game lead over Houston. If they can weather that storm the Rangers should be fine. The Rangers are the most profitable team in baseball being up 31 units for the year. After a slow start the Houston Astros have gone 18-8 so far in June with a record 42-37 and are in second place in the AL West. In the AL East Baltimore is in 1st place with a record of 47-30. 3B Manny Machado leads the O's hitting .332 with 18 HR's and 49 RBI. Mike Trumbo is having a break out season hitting .282 with 23 homers and team leading 60 RBI. Baltimore is right behind the Rangers being up almost 17 units! Both Boston & Toronto are tied for second 5.5 games behind the O's. In the AL Central the hottest team in Baseball riding a 12 game winning streak is the Cleveland Indians at 47-30! The Indians have opened up a 6 game lead over defending WS Champs Kansas City. SS Fransisco Lindor leads the Tribe hitting .308 with 10 HR's and 39 RBI, and playing great defense. The pitching is lead by Danny Salazar who is having an outstanding season with a 10-3 record and a 2.22 ERA. The Indians are the 3rd most profitable team in the AL being up almost 11 units!
