Boston heads into this contest with a 21-26 record, including 11-14 on the road. Eduardo Rodriguez gets the ball to make his major league debut. Rodriguez was 29-30 with a 3.23 ERA and 462 strikeouts in his career in the minors. The Red Sox are in dire need of a win after losing six of their last eight games and four straight road games. Dustin Pedroia leads Boston with 53 hits and 21 RBI while Mookie Betts and Hanley Ramirez have combined for 47 RBI. The Red Sox have only managed to score seven runs in their last three games. The Texas Rangers are white hot after winning five of their last six games and have plated 17 runs in their last three games and four or more runs in five of their last six games. Texas will send Nick Martinez to the hill, and he’s 4-0 with a 1.96 ERA and 30 strikeouts this season. This will be Martinez’s first career game against the Red Sox. Texas has lost five of their last eight at home and with Boston being the much hungrier team we will go with Boston to get the much needed victory tonight.
